Hi-Test from Maxima is a concentrated octane booster that is legal for every type of competition. It is fully organic and contains no metal compounds (no lead, manganese or phosphorus), and it blends readily with all petrol as well as alcohol and nitro mixtures.

By changing the burn rate and lifting the auto-ignition temperature of your air/fuel mix, Hi-Test holds back detonation and pre-ignition. That stops the “pinging” and “knocking” that can otherwise cause damage, and lets you run higher compression ratios for more horsepower.

Dosage: use one to four ounces per gallon of fuel. One ounce per gallon lifts the effective octane number by roughly four points, depending on the octane of the base fuel. Racing engines, very high compression engines or very poor quality fuel may need a stronger mix.
