Product details

RFX Pro Series Armalite rear sprockets have been developed and put through their paces by leading World and British championship race teams.

Each sprocket uses a two-ring construction. The centre is a 7075-T6 aluminium ring to keep weight down, while the outer ring carrying the teeth is high carbon steel for a long wear life. The two rings lock together through a hexagon drive interface, an innovative approach for sprockets that makes the most of the drive transferred between the parts and takes the load off the rivets completely, bringing the force on them down to zero.

Fitting instructions

• Put the bike on a stand so the rear wheel is off the ground.
• Take off the chain and remove the wheel.
• Hold the hex key in place and undo the nuts with a spanner.
• Remove all of the nuts and the old sprocket.
• Clean the hub area thoroughly so it is free of dirt and debris.
• Offer the new sprocket up to the hub, checking it sits snugly with the bolt holes lined up.
• Clean the sprocket bolts and nuts.
• Put Blue Loctite on each bolt and push them through the holes.
• Run the nuts onto the bolts by hand, checking the locking seals are intact and in good order.
• Keep the hex key held in place and tighten the nuts in an even pattern.
• Torque the nuts and bolts to the figures in your owner's manual.
• Refit the wheel, then align the chain correctly and adjust its tension to the manufacturer's specification.
