RFX Pro Series Dual Compound Grips are made from a high-spec synthetic Kraton Polymer. It gives you the tacky feel and vibration damping of natural rubber, yet it stands up to sunlight and chemicals far better, so the grips keep performing for longer.

Each grip combines two compounds. A firmer 60 SA compound on the outside adds durability and helps the grip survive crashes, while a softer 25 SA compound in the centre soaks up vibration and keeps your hands comfortable.

The pattern follows the industry-standard half-waffle layout: a diamond texture on the upper palm area and a waffle section underneath for your fingers. Together they keep your palm comfortable and your hold secure, even when things get muddy. A discreet RFX logo sits in the palm area for a clean, premium finish.

Fitting instructions

• Take off the old grips.
• Use a spray solvent (for example Maxima Electrical Contact Cleaner) to clear any old glue from the bar and throttle tube.
• Apply a small amount of RFX Grip Glue to the ends of the bar and throttle tube. Do not overdo it: excess glue squeezes out, makes a mess and can stop the throttle working properly.
• Push the grip onto the bar, lifting the lip so no air gets trapped, and rotate it as you go to spread the glue evenly.
• Line the grip up so the RFX logo on the end sits level with the ground.
• Fit safety wire if needed. Wrap it twice, evenly, in each of the two end grooves, plus two evenly spaced wraps in the centre if required.
• Twist the wire with RFX wire pliers so the grip is clamped firmly.
• Trim the wire ends to roughly 4mm and fold them into the grip, tapping with a hammer if needed to seat them.
• Leave the glue to dry for at least 8 hours before riding.
• Before you ride, make sure the throttle snaps back properly so you know no glue has got into the throttle area.
• Add RFX Donuts if you want extra blister protection, and you are ready to ride.

Care and maintenance

• When fitting, do not use sharp objects or tools to clean the bars, as they can damage the surface.
• Clean the grips with a sponge and soapy water, then rinse with a hose or a jet wash set to low pressure.
• Keep the jet wash away from the sealing lip so the grip does not work loose.
• Once washed, do not spray chemicals such as contact cleaner onto the grips, as this could damage the material.
• After a crash, check the grips for tears. A torn grip can let dirt into the throttle assembly, so replace it if necessary.
