This RFX Race Series switch is made as a direct OEM replacement part. It comes with the same couplings, fasteners and connectors as the genuine item, and its cables are cut to the original lengths, so it connects straight into your bike's existing wiring. The range covers a wide variety of bikes.

Fitting instructions

• Take off the front number plate.
• Cut any cable ties securing the start and stop switch wiring to the handlebars, then undo the switch clamps and leave them hanging.
• Find the switch connector on the bike. It usually sits on the chassis near the headstock, although on some models it is under the tank.
• Unplug the connector and take off the old switch, making a note of how its wiring is routed.
• Clean the connector with an electrical contact cleaner, for example Maxima Electrical Contact Cleaner.
• Fit the new switch loosely to the handlebars wherever you want it.
• Run the wires along the same route as the old switch and plug the connector back together.
• Turn the bars fully to each side to check the wires have enough slack and do not pull tight. Adjust them if needed.
• Where possible, refit cable ties, keeping the wires towards the rear of the bars so roost cannot damage them.
• Put your number plate back on.
