Vertex piston kits are built for performance, durability and an accurate fit, with versions to suit both 2-stroke and 4-stroke engines.

Key features

• Accurate fit: offered in exact A, B or C sizes so you can match the piston to your cylinder bore. This helps you get the most power and performance while keeping blow-by and oil consumption down.
• 2-stroke pistons: made with 18% silicon, which cuts wear and thermal expansion. That allows tighter running tolerances, giving more power, less noise and a longer life.
• 4-stroke pistons: made from forged 2618 or 3032 high strength alloy, giving durability and reliability.
• Skirt coating: a Molybdenum Disulphide (MOS2) coating on the skirt reduces wear and helps the piston bed in.

Choice of pistons

• Cast and forged Replica pistons: OE replacements that keep the standard compression ratio.
• Cast and forged Race pistons: use just one compression ring to optimise performance.
• Forged Hi-Comp pistons: raise compression and power compared with Replica pistons.
• Forged GP Racer's Choice pistons: built with T-box forgings and unique dome profiles, plus advanced surface treatments. Higher compression ratios give more power, with extra strength and durability.
• Big Bore pistons: add engine capacity and power while the compression ratio stays at standard.
