Product details
For 2023 the Yamaha YZ450F is practically all new, and it is ready to inspire a new generation of MX champions.
The standard system on this bike was hard to improve on, but Yoshimura managed it. Getting the tube diameter and length exactly right, then letting the RS-12 do the job it was designed for, brought more power and torque across the whole range. It was not easy, but the results are clear: maximum horsepower rises by 8% and maximum torque by an impressive 13%.
The biggest improvements come in the lower and mid rpm range, and they arrive without upsetting the handling of the new YZ chassis. Testing the extra power on the bike made development an enjoyable project for the team.
