For 2021 Honda gave the CRF450 an all-new chassis and engine, making it the most eagerly awaited 450cc motocross bike of the year.

Yoshimura spent more than a year developing the RS-12 for it, working with MXGP World Champion Tim Gajser, Honda Japan and HRC Honda and leaving nothing to chance. The aim was clear: pair the RS-12 with the 2021 CRF450 to create the most precisely tuned machine in motocross competition.

• Asymmetrical silencer shape maximises internal capacity and houses a resonance chamber that manages sound and boosts usable power

• Oval manifold designed using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and made by hydroforming
• Better performance, lower weight and improved fit compared with the previous generation design
• Precision machined joints, as found on the works systems ridden by Yoshimura's factory racers, seal with a perfect 360 degree contact surface for longer system life, better fit and better performance
• Works-look matte carbon fibre end cap with Yoshimura's signature detailing
• The carbon end cap covers an inner cap mounted design, which is more durable and easier to service than the sandwich mounting designs common elsewhere in the industry
• Precision Taper Fit (PTF) insert ring, patent pending, for easy fitting and removal of sound inserts and spark arrestors
• Tapered silencer body inlet allows the system to sit further forward, helping to centralise weight with no loss of performance
• Repack kits, optional inserts and spark arrestors are offered for all models
