Product details

Built to be both lighter and longer lasting than OEM spacers, these RFX Pro Series wheel spacers are made from 7075-T6 aluminium, then colour anodised for extra durability. The finished spacers resist surface wear and help keep dirt out of the hub, which extends the life of your wheel bearings.

A rear lip holds each spacer hooked into its seal, so it is less likely to drop out during maintenance and your wheel changes are quicker. RFX products are trusted by leading Grand Prix and British Motocross teams.

Fitting instructions

• Put the bike on a box stand so both wheels are clear of the ground.
• Undo the large spindle nut, then slacken any pinch bolts on the fork's lower leg.
• Withdraw the spindle from the wheel. If it is tight, you may need a brass punch and a hammer.
• The front wheel can now be removed.
• At the back, you should now be able to push the wheel forwards far enough to lift the chain off the rear sprocket.
• The rear wheel can now be removed.
• Take the old spacers out of the wheels.
• Use a contact cleaner, such as Maxima Electrical Contact Cleaner, to clean in and around the seals, then re-grease under each seal.
• Fit the new spacers.
• Ease the brake pads apart inside the callipers to give yourself more room when refitting the wheel.
• Refit the wheels and push the spindles through.
• Refit the chain and set the correct chain tension using the axle blocks.
• Torque the large spindle nuts to the correct setting.
• With the bike off the stand, pump the forks up and down to line them up, then do up the pinch bolts.
• To finish, pump the brakes so the callipers realign.
