Every kill button comes with the same couplings, fasteners, connectors and cable lengths as the original part, which makes fitting straightforward and trouble free. Versions are offered for a wide range of bike models.

Fitting instructions

• Take off the front number plate.
• Carefully cut any cable ties securing the start and stop switch wiring to the bars, then unscrew the clamps and let the switches hang.
• Find the switch connector on the bike. It is often near the headstock on the chassis, though it is sometimes under the tank.
• Unclip the connector and take the old switch off, making a note of how the wiring runs.
• Clean the connector with a contact cleaner, for example Maxima Electrical Contact Cleaner.
• Fit the new switch loosely on the handlebars where you want it.
• Route the wires to match the old switch and join the connector back together.
• Turn the bars to full lock each way and check the wires have enough slack and do not pull tight. Adjust if needed.
• Where possible, refit cable ties and position the cables behind the bars to protect them from roost.
• Refit your number plate.
