Fitting instructions

• Take off the front number plate.
• Cut any cable ties securing the start and stop switch wires to the bars, then undo the clamps and leave the switches hanging.
• Find the switch connector on the bike. It is usually near the headstock on the chassis, although on some bikes it sits under the tank.
• Unplug the connector and take the switch off, making a note of how the wiring is routed.
• Clean the connector with a contact cleaner, for example Maxima Electrical Contact Cleaner.
• Fit the new switch loosely on the handlebars where you want it.
• Route the wiring the same way as the old switch and plug the connector together.
• Turn the bars to full lock each way to check there is enough slack and the wires do not pull tight. Adjust if needed.
• Where possible, refit cable ties, keeping the wires behind the bars so they are protected from roost.
• Refit your number plate.
