RFX Race Series start buttons are made to replace the OEM part exactly. Each one comes with the same couplings, fasteners and connectors as the genuine part, and the cable lengths match it exactly.

Fitting instructions

• Take off the front number plate.
• Carefully cut the cable ties that secure the start and stop switch wiring to the handlebars, then unscrew the clamps and leave the switches hanging.
• Find the switch connector on the bike. It is often found near the headstock on the chassis, but can sometimes be under the tank.
• Release the connector clip and remove the old switch, noting how its wiring is routed.
• Clean the connector with a contact cleaner, for example Maxima Electrical Contact Cleaner.
• Fit the new switch loosely to the handlebars where you want it.
• Route the new wiring along the same path as the old switch, then clip the two halves of the connector together.
• Turn the bars fully in each direction to check the wires have enough free play and do not pull tight. Adjust if needed.
• Where possible, refit cable ties to the wiring, keeping the cables behind the bars so roost cannot damage them.
• Put your number plate back on.
