The Yoshimura RS-12 Signature Series full system is made for the new 2021 Kawasaki KX250 motocross machine and its updated 249cc engine. Yoshimura set out to give you more usable power and torque across almost the whole rev range.

The quoted gains are an increase of 4.5% in maximum power, measured at 12,000 rpm, and 7.7% more maximum torque at 6,700 rpm, so the extra drive arrives where you need it. Power is only part of the story: the machined joints, PTF sound inserts and asymmetrical silencer shape all play a part in performance, and the matte carbon fibre end cap and familiar Yoshimura bark give your KX250 a look and sound of its own.

• Asymmetrical silencer: the shape makes the most of internal capacity and houses a resonance chamber that controls sound while adding usable power. Its profile also leaves more room around the tyre and brake calliper.
• Tapered inlet: the tapered silencer body inlet lets the system sit further forward in the new Kawasaki chassis, helping to centralise weight with no loss of performance.
• Smoother power: bigger performance gains, with power that comes in a refined, linear way.
• Machined joints: the same approach used on the works systems ridden by Yoshimura's factory racers. Each joint seals with full 360 degree contact between the two surfaces, giving an exact fit, longer system life and better performance.
• Precision Taper Fit (PTF) insert ring: a patent pending design that makes fitting and removing sound inserts and spark arresters simple.
• Matte carbon fibre end cap: a works-look finish that covers the RS-12 inner cap. It improves the appearance and makes servicing easier than the sandwich mounting designs widely used across the industry.
