Testing the 2024 YZ250F on the dyno and on track showed Yoshimura that there was more performance to unlock, so rather than simply carrying an earlier system over, the R&D team refined the specification for the new Yamaha. The revised RS-12 Signature Series full system gains 2.5% in maximum horsepower and 2.8% in maximum torque compared with the original exhaust.

The RS-12 silencer uses the PTF insert system for quick insert changes, and its reshaped body adds volume while leaving room for the brake calliper. The system is designed, developed and manufactured by Yoshimura in Chino, California.
